SmartIcons: A Large SVG Icon Catalog for Designers

Free and premium icons are some of the most prominent freebies currently on the web. But what about combining iconsets into one location for easy-access?

This is the plan of SmartIcons which is building the most diverse library of SVG-based vector icons.

You can sign up for free and get access to a number of free icon sets for life. This includes unlimited usage for both personal and commercial use. But the real value comes in with paid plans that can occur either yearly or at a one-time fee.

SmartIcons has a growing number of iconsets that remain in value for all users. At current tally it’s around 4500+ icons over various sets and styles. There’s even a Mac OS X application dedicated to SmartIcons users.

All icons have been designed to run across every program including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and of course Sketch. The Mac app supports drag-and-drop functionality where you can search for icons and simply drop them into your mockup.

The biggest point to note is the high-quality icon library. You can find a seemingly endless supply of different icon styles, types, and shapes across many different iconsets.

Premium users have access to the entire library but even free users have a considerable number of icons at their disposal.
